Do Patients Prefer Mail Order?

As you can see from the bar graph, more patients are satisfied with their local pharmacy than with mail order pharmacies. This could be for many reasons. Mail order pharmacies take away the face-to-face interaction with a pharmacist. For many people, speaking with the pharmacist in person can clarify their medication regimen and give them the peace of mind and understanding they need.

Mail order pharmacies also are more likely to make a mistake since they do not have this face-to-face interaction and do not know their patients.

Four out of five people prefer a local pharmacy over mail order. Many are forced to use mail order by their plans. Mail order may have some pros, but consumers should be able to choose. No one should be forced into something that can ultimately affect their health.
